Legacy
Behind every parcel is a story. We take the time to understand it — and to build in a way that carries it forward rather than erasing it.

About the firm
Firm Overview
Blackmont Land Co. is a privately held land acquisition and residential development company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. From a single desk in the Midwest, we operate discreetly across all fifty states — evaluating parcels, negotiating directly with landowners, and delivering communities and homes designed to endure.
Our discipline is deliberately narrow. We do not chase yield, volume, or cycles. We hold land patiently, entitle it carefully, and develop only when the ground is ready to receive what we intend to place upon it.
What results is a portfolio built one parcel at a time — the product of a philosophy that treats each transaction as the beginning of a fifty-year relationship with the place.
Our Mission
I
Behind every parcel is a story. We take the time to understand it — and to build in a way that carries it forward rather than erasing it.
II
The neighborhoods we develop are not products. They are places designed to hold generations of residents with dignity and quiet permanence.
III
We treat topography, water, and mature trees as inheritance. Development is what we do to serve the land, not what we do to overcome it.

Founder
Founder's Vision
I founded Blackmont Land Co. because I believe real estate is about more than buying and selling land—it's about creating places where families build their lives. My passion has always been rooted in creation: transforming a vision into something tangible that will positively impact people for generations. Today, Blackmont's mission is to identify, acquire, and develop land that makes homeownership more attainable while helping build stronger communities across America.
Our country is facing a growing housing shortage, with more than five million homes needed to meet current demand. Rising home prices, increasing construction costs, and higher interest rates have made homeownership more difficult for countless families. While these challenges are significant, I believe they also present an opportunity. Blackmont exists to help bridge that gap by delivering thoughtfully planned residential developments—from individual custom homes to large-scale communities—that provide the foundation for families to build their future.
My passion for development truly began during my time at Rockford Homes, where I had the privilege of selling more than 60 new construction homes. Working alongside homebuyers, builders, and construction teams from contract through completion gave me a front-row seat to the entire homebuilding process. Whether it was helping a family build their custom dream home or watching an entire subdivision take shape from raw land, I witnessed the pride and excitement that comes with creating a place people are proud to call home. That experience inspired me to dedicate my career to creating the opportunities for more families to experience that same milestone.
Before that, I built my foundation in commercial real estate at Credence Commercial Realty, where I focused on site selection and land transactions. I later founded and scaled investment platforms that generated more than $2 million in transaction volume during their first year, further strengthening my experience in acquisitions, development, and real estate investment.
Today, I bring that same passion and hands-on experience to every opportunity I pursue—combining strategic land acquisition, thoughtful planning, and relationship-driven execution to transform raw land into homes, neighborhoods, and communities that will serve families for generations.
Our Approach
We begin with a confidential dialogue — no listings, no signage, no third parties.
A firm principal personally reviews each opportunity. Site work is coordinated on the seller's schedule.
We present written terms backed by institutional capital, with cash-position closings and no financing contingencies.
Our legal and title teams handle the close end-to-end. Sellers are represented, informed, and unhurried.
What follows is not a flip. We entitle, plan, and build in a way the seller can point to for the rest of their life.
